Is very unlikely that I stay at hotels on my trips. In fact I usually avoid cities for staying the night.
Very often I just keep driving/walking/biking to my next destination. Ok, a while ago I had a little discussion with a friend about this. He usually avoids my places and just stays at the city.
I just wonder why…
I mean, do you see this very often? no. I guess once you see it you start getting the point. Yes, the picture is great, but there is no comparison watching the same place with your eyes with 360 field of view.
And just a little detail… cities have lots of those… how do you call it? “people”??? yes. The mountains have little of them, and thats why I like the mountains the most.
To my friend: if it wasn’t for people like us who don’t hesitate on getting a little dirt on our hands, you would never see this places (even in pictures). And if I walked a mile on your shoes (cities, thing that I have done many times) and you walked one mile on my shoes, seeing what I see… I bet you change your preferences.
It takes to live to know… It takes a walk to get there.. but it takes little steps to end always in a little fancy room. No offenses my friend, I guess I will be on one of those rooms, but let that for my last years… not now…
