There is a lot of saying about 12 towns around the lake with the names of the apostles but is not true I have to say. There are villages but with SOME names only. In addition to climbing Volcan de Pacaya I traveled with a group of teacher from the school to Lake Amatitlan and we sat around singing madrigals with a view of this beautiful lake.
